NEW 11th Grade Junior Staff Program

For girls currently in 11th grade who are interested in a combo junior staff/camper program. 11th graders can still apply to be regular campers. Or you can split the difference and apply for regular camper first half and Junior Staff second half. (Nope, sorry. No Junior Staff first half and regular camper second half. Once you’ve had a taste of staff, there’s no going back!)

You must fill out the camper application and select the junior staff program you are interested in. Spaces are limited in this program and acceptance is not guaranteed.

First half Junior Staff, June 29-July 26 - $2600* ($2683 cc price)
Second half Junior Staff, July 27-Aug.17 - $2250* ($2322 cc price)
Full summer Junior Staff, June 29-Aug.17 - $4850* ($5005 cc price)

*If you pay by Zelle, there are no additional fees - you’ll save the 3.2% processing fee and simply pay the price listed. We regret having to add this fee, and if we find that elusive money tree or big donor (please G-d!), then we would iy”H remove the fee for future years. This represents a savings of 40% off of regular tuition! Deadline to apply for this program is December 15, 2026 (or until spaces are filled, whichever comes first).

Please note that Junior Staff will still have a counselor in the bunk.

Junior Staff Waitress

If you’ve been to Tizmoret before, then you’ve seen the dining room at its best and at its craziest. Junior staff waitresses to the rescue! Our waitresses will each be responsible for two tables in the dining hall, setting up and clearing tables for each meal, bringing food to tables, and occasionally helping with some dishwashing too! (Sure, we could do a bait and switch and not tell you the dishes part until you get there, but we like to be as upfront as possible.) Exact details to be confirmed, but that’s the general idea.

Practically speaking, you would attend most of majors, and the first three elective periods. Realistically speaking, this is the plan. Plans are not set in stone. Unless, of course, we offer a stone chiseling elective… you never know!

Sample Waitress Schedule (very subject to change, but will likely be something like this!):

8:45am - Breakfast Set-Up

9:15am - Breakfast

9:45am - Breakfast Clean-Up

Majors - still to be worked out; we anticipate you getting to majors on time, but needing to leave early for Lunch prep

11:30am - Lunch Set-Up

12:15pm - Lunch (no, not Lunch the Bear. Lunch the meal!)

12:45pm - Lunch Clean-Up (Clean your bunks? Well… um… that’ll be later on your daily schedule)

1:15pm - 1st elective

2:15pm - 2nd elective

3:05pm - Mincha

3:15-4:25pm - Canteen/Free Time

4:30pm - 3rd elective

5:30pm - Dinner Set-Up

6:30pm - Dinner

7:00pm - Dinner Clean-Up

To be determined in the evenings:
-special bunk shiur program
-bunk clean-up (What? You thought you’d get out of that!?!?)
-the occasional off-campus excursion
-other evening programming that Mrs.Gitter has not yet finalized because it’s still 2026

Junior Staff Mother’s Helper

Our junior staff mother’s helpers will be working approximately 3 hours per day in our staff kids day camp and/or helping out after hours depending on our needs. Since we do not yet know the exact number or ages of staff kids for 2027, we can’t give an exact schedule yet. However, 11th graders who choose this option will most likely work approximately 1:00-4:00pm OR 3:30-6:30pm depending on the week and our schedule needs.

Practically speaking, you would attend majors AND either periods 1 & 2 electives OR periods 3 & 4 electives. Realistically speaking, we don’t yet know what the day camp/mothers’ helpers schedule will look like, but hopefully something like this.
