Welcome to Tizmoret Beyond - where we bring the creativity, community, and spirit of Tizmoret into the school year through online classes and workshops for girls and women! Anyone is welcome, whether or not you have ever attended Tizmoret Shoshana.
Learn. Create. Grow. Connect.
Classes starting in JANUARY and FEBRUARY are listed below. Please scroll down for women’s classes. You can click here to check out our one-time workshops, including special Chanukah-themed classes!
All times listed in Eastern, with apologies to those of you in different time zones who will need to do math to see what time classes are taking place! ALL classes are “one hour” long, meaning a 55-minute hour so you don’t have to rush from one class to the next!
Yes, you can still join classes that have already started! Tuition will be pro-rated when your enrollment is confirmed. Please reach out to office@tizmoretshoshana.org with any questions.

Embroidery 101 for Ages 12+ with Devorah Minuk
Embroidery can look so complicated to beginners, but this class will fix that! We'll start at the beginning (How does an embroidery hoop work anyway?), and learn the most basic stitches, step-by-step. As the classes progress, we'll move on to more and more intricate stitches. You'll learn how to arrange those stitches into shapes and patterns (and a great deal of flowers). You'll learn all sorts of embroidery techniques (How do I undo a stitch without cutting the thread?), and what to do when problems crop up (Help! The thread tangled!). By the end of this class, you will know enough to begin a project on your own!
Supplies:
White embroidery fabric (muslin is preferable)
Embroidery needles
Embroidery hoops
Thread (proper embroidery thread, NOT friendship bracelet thread!)
Pencil
OPTIONAL: Needle threaderNov.8-29 - 11:00AM
